Meet Alexandra

I’m Alexandra Foote-Jones, an estate planning attorney and the owner of AFJ Law, PLLC. I have spent nearly 20 years helping Alaska and Arizona families and business owners protect what matters most. Estate planning, tax strategy, and business transitions can feel overwhelming; my goal is to make the process clear, approachable, and tailored to your needs.

My approach to this work is shaped not only by my legal training, but by personal experience. Both of my parents have passed away, and I saw firsthand how important it was that they had a solid estate plan in place. It didn’t take away the grief, but it eliminated much of the legal stress and uncertainty during an already difficult time. That experience is a big part of why I care so deeply about helping families put thoughtful plans in place.

With a J.D. from the University of Arizona and an LL.M. in Taxation from NYU, I bring both depth of knowledge and a practical, down-to-earth approach. Before starting my own firm, I worked in public defense, private practice, and with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel.

I’m passionate about service and education. Whether volunteering with VITA to support low-income taxpayers or guiding clients through major life decisions, I enjoy making complex legal issues understandable and actionable.

I live in Arizona with my husband, son, two dogs, two cats, and many fish. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, gardening, quilting, printmaking, and playing the ukulele.
